The Perfect Score is about 5 kids and their perspectives of family, friends, and school. The kids names are Randi, and pressured gymnast, Gavin, a poor but determined kid, Trevor, a ride but bullied child, Scott, a very talkative but lonely student, and Natalie, a girl who dreams to be a lawyer like her mother. This book is amazing because it is actually a bit sad because all the characters have life problems!!!! For example, Trever always get harassed by his big brothers friends. And Randi is pressured by her mother to get a gymnastics scholarship.
I would recommend this book for around grade 4th grade through 7th. This books is long. It has 358 pages and the letter size is around 18. So not impossible to read, but does take a few hours. But again, this is a great book for kids who are interested in learning ways to make friends and that we are stronger together! And if you love this book, you can also read it’s sequel, The Perfect Star. And if you love THAT book too, you can read Because of Mr Terupt, also by Rob Buyea.
