Dealing With Moving

I have moved so many times! I basically have to move almost every 2 years, so I know how hard it is. I have moved 6 times in 11 years, and yes, you might lose all your friends and home. But here is a guide about how to deal with the pain.

Home

This summer, I am moving (again), and the truth is, I’m actually kind of excited! I think about what will be in my new house that I don’t have in my current house, like a pool, a lot of trees, and a closer, huge airport! Thinking about things you want in your house can make you feel more comfortable about moving.

Friendships

A few moves ago, I had a lot of friends, but we didn’t have a very stable friendship. We were separated into different classes, and I just felt left out. Now, when I text them, I just don’t get them. And none of them like me anyways. But you always need a stable, trustworthy group. A group that won’t criticize you. So when you move, you will still feel connected. And don’t forget that after you move, you will meet a lot more friends too.

School

Different schools can be very helpful for you. You may get to join new clubs, make new friends, and do more stuff that may interest you. You can even join more competitions and even get scholarships. Every move is another step to academic and social success! And you won’t be the only new kid.

Family

Maybe you moved so your parents can be closer to their office, which means you have more family time. Maybe your house is closer to relatives. Every move is an adventure with family, and even though my point of view has drastically changed since the past few years (tantrums and sadness), this is what I think moving means.
