Double Identity- Margaret Peterson Haddix

A book of suspense, thriller, sadness, distress, plot twists, memories, excitement! It’s all in Double Identity by Margaret Peterson Haddix! This is actually one of my favorite books. Its perfect for 11 to 13 year olds who want higher leveled books but still have the thrilling components of a book, much like Harry Potter.

This book is about a girl named Bethany Cole, who’s parents send her away to her aunts house, Myrlie. Myrlie must keep the secret of Bethany’s dead sister, and Bethany thinks she is an only child. Things start to get complicated with cloning discoveries, family secrets, and someone named Dalton Van Dyne. Her mom starts crying, forgetting things, and Bethany doesn’t know about any of this. Personally, my eyes were GLUED to the book.

Now some real information about the book; this is from 2003, so about 21 years ago (as of 2024). It has 218 pages, and is one of my favorite reads. I definitely recommend this to you, and I hope you read it. Happy reading!
