Song Circles- Sketch

I really love sketching… and music! For beginner and advanced artists, try this easy art idea to make your music… and art talent shine!

The first step is to pick out a song with a chorus- or any part of the song with meaning to you. I picked Alone by Alan Walker and Ava Max. This is one part with meaning :

We all need a soul to rely on, a shoulder to cry on, a friend through the highs and the lows
I’m not gonna make it a-la, la-la-la-la-la, la, la-la-la-la-la, ‘lone

So after that step, get a sketch book and pencils (HB2 or HB4 recommended). With a circle stencil, draw 4 circles in a zig- zag down. In the first circle (top), draw something inside that means the first part. In my case, I would draw a heart or soul. Do the second part in the next circle. I would put a person crying. In the 3rd circle, I would put a mountain. In the 4th circle, I would do two friends silhouette.

Now, write the lyrics between each circle. Make sure the pencil is extra sharp. Also, outline the circle with a HB8 or HB10 pencil. It will be more vibrant.

You can also make it look cooler! For example, if the song is about the wilderness, make the outline of the circle similar to a compass. Add a hashtag #singersname on the bottom. And finally, add YOUR name and share!
