The Boba Rush

I really love Boba. For those of you new to what Boba is, it is bubble tea. It was originated in Taiwan, and spread to the rest of the world. It is also very similar to Thai iced tea. Now, it is a common yummy drink in America. It also has many flavors, like fruit. My favorite part of Boba are the pearls/ bubbles. There are two kinds of pearls; popping, and tapioca. Tapioca is a very chewy substance. In Boba, it is at the bottom of the drink. I like popping pearls. They are lightweight and when you bite them, they pop in your mouth, releasing yummy juice! Like tapioca, it is also at the bottom.

Even though Boba is East Asian tea, there are a lot of differences between normal tea and Boba. Normal tea, such as green tea, chai, or black tea have many soothing health benefits and are usually served warm. They are also smooth and a bit bitter. But Boba is a mix of many different ideas, is sweet, and… has a lot of sugar. So it’s not that healthy. Its actually not healthy AT ALL!

The second you try Boba, you will fall in love with it! Its colorful flavors, textured pearls, and overall taste makes Boba irresistible. You can get Boba from Starbucks in the summer, (special in 2024) Costco, where Joyba Boba is sold, in many other stores, or you can make it yourself! Just get pearls from a store, mix it with juice, and add milk. Serve it cold. It is also healthier!

Need a drink for a birthday party that everyone loves? BOBA. Need a refreshing snack after your afternoon run? BOBA. There are so many great things about Boba! The Joyba Boba also has 8 TBSP (32 grams) of added sugar, so make sure to exercise before! I called my cousin and told her that I tried the Joyba Boba (her favorite drink), and I told her it is amazing but has WAY too much sugar, so she said it needed MORE sugar! Gen Z people (my cousin) are so different from Gen Alpha people!

Anyways, that’s it for this post! Go and try Boba right now!
