Mandala – A meditational ART

“It’s all about finding peace in the symmetry of the design and of the universe,” says artist Saudamini Madra.

In the ancient language of Sanskrit, mandala means ‘circle’. It is a sacred Indian art that consisted of symmetry and detail.

Mandala isn’t just limited to India ; Countries all around the world have made their own types of mandala.

Anyways, mandala is a vast art!

1. The Worlds Smallest History Lesson

Many times, mandala art can be a calming art, but there is more to it than that.

The quick basics: Mandala is a traditional art and spiritual people believe that when you draw it, the more towards inward you do the art, the more it purifies yourself.

If you need to know more for a very detailed history-art project, you can use other sources.

2. My experience creating mandala

For me, I had a neighbor who taught me mandala.

I started with dot mandala, so you have to align dots in a circle pattern in many colors very preciously.

It was a very calming experience, and I entirely enjoyed the course, and you should try it too! I sat for about an hour, mixing colors and dotting with a stylus.
